Getting There, Parking & Transport
PUBLIC TRANSPORT & FREE PARKING
To make your day run as smoothly as possible, we recommend catching public transport or using the designated free parking area to access the Rockingham Beach Cup and Carnival.
Free parking will be available on The Village Green (Anzac Park on Google Maps) at the corner of Patterson Road & Flinders Lane, Rockingham. The Village Green is a short 5 minute walk from Churchill Park where the event is located.
Regular public transport is available from Rockingham Train Station to Rockingham Beach.
The Mandurah train line from Perth Underground station to Rockingham Station takes approx. 35 minutes.
From Rockingham Train Station, catch Bus 555 towards Rockingham Beach. Exit at the Railway Tce stop and walk 150m to the foreshore. The journey takes approximately 20 minutes.
Visit Transperth's website and use the Journey Planner to determine the best option for you on the day.
ENJOY THE CUP FROM THE SEA
Boat viewing, anchoring and mooring information
Travelling by Sea to the Rockingham Beach Cup?
The City of Rockingham hosts some of the finest coastline in Perth’s metropolitan area and viewing the Cup from the protected waters of Cockburn Sound is a great option for boaties.
Wind permitting, we encourage boaties to anchor and utilise the boat viewing area designated as shown - essentially between Wanliss St Carpark and the Val St Jetty. Please allow 60m between the shore and your anchoring to allow for the horse to enter the water after each race. There are no moorings in this area and spots are first-come-first serve.
The Rockingham Wreck Dive Trail site is 90 metres from Rockingham foreshore, made apparent by marker buoys on the day. All vessels must recognise the no anchoring area between these buoys to avoid damage to the wreck dive trail. Jet skis will be on location to ensure no vessels anchor in this area. Boats can traverse through this area and anchor in the nearby waters. The wreck dive trail and beach will be closed the Sunday of the event.
